Keisha Bell's Book:

Who would have thought she would have to grow up so fast?

Barely fourteen, Free is forced to make a life-altering decision. Her mother adamantly wants to move far away to be with her childhood love.

Free doesn't understand her mother's quest for closure, not even after it's explained to her. All she knows is that she is determined to remain in the only place she knows as home. In the year ahead, Free will experience spirit-breaking pain as she tries to understand her mother. Even though their relationship is pushed to its breaking point, Free (subconsciously) longs to regain their once-unshakable bond. During the year, Free discovers that everything is connected. She meets Siarra whose parents recently divorced. Together, they discover what "forgiveness" really means.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

The truth is . . . Keisha Bell's mother told her at a very young age that she should pursue a path that would allow her to touch people's souls through her words.  Finally, she's listened.

Born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Keisha Bell has lived in various cities throughout the State of Florida, as well as, Georgia, California, Virginia, and Illinois.  It was in high school where she remembers her literary works first capturing the attention of her peers.  Even so, she did not pursue a literary-related degree at the University of Central Florida. Instead, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, followed by a Juris Doctorate degree from Florida State University College of Law.

Keisha Bell's uncanny ability to place herself in the shoes of others is combined with creativity and a unique writing style to keep the reader wanting more.  In "Emerging...Free", she challenges the reader to examine the issue of "parental abandonment". She challenges the reader to grow.

Keisha Bell is an attorney who represents individuals who cannot afford private legal counsel.  For the past few years, she has practiced in the area of Family Law.  Currently, she is promoting "Emerging...Free" and working on her next novel.
