Born in Saint Petersburg, Florida, Keisha Bell has lived in various cities throughout the State of Florida, as well as, Georgia, California, Virginia, and Illinois. It was in high school where she remembers her literary works first capturing the attention of her peers. Even so, she did not pursue a literary-related degree at the University of Central Florida. Instead, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, followed by a Juris Doctorate degree from Florida State University College of Law.
Keisha Bell's uncanny ability to place herself in the shoes of others is combined with creativity and a unique writing style to keep the reader wanting more. In "Emerging...Free", she challenges the reader to examine the issue of "parental abandonment". She challenges the reader to grow.
Keisha Bell is an attorney who represents individuals who cannot afford private legal counsel. For the past few years, she has practiced in the area of Family Law. Currently, she is promoting "Emerging...Free" and working on her next novel.

What inspired you to write "Emerging...Free"?
"When I first sat down to write "Emerging...Free", all I knew was
that I wanted to write something that I would want to read---
something that would have the reader look at an idea in a
different way. Also, I wanted to write a book where the story is
relatable, a story that crossed gender, age, sex,
socio-economic, and racial lines. I chose to write a story
surrounding the issue of "parental abandonment" because it is an
issue that a lot of our youth face either directly or
indirectly. It is also an issue that does not automatically
resolve itself when one becomes an adult." Keisha Bell
